re: Status Quo date confirmed
Arrol I admire your passion and understand your desire to have the Quarter Final advertised as much as possible and I completely concur with your passion, - however, in fairness to the club, BBC TV are plugging the match for free at every opportunity on prime time TV, - often just before or after Eastenders, - so there is absolutely no chance of anybody not being aware that the match is on!
Let's just hope that quite a number of those who see the free advert choose to go and pay to watch the game live.
My apologies for allowing my frustration to bubble over with the almost continuous decrying (from some) of the forthcoming concert adverts, but we all must understand that the club are taking a huge risk with no guarantee of a return. However the potential is massive and we should back the club on this tremendous and very bold initiative.

Further to Jardi and Arrol 1919 posts above, I thank Jardi for his two sensible and well written posts, and agree with all that is said in both.
Apologies for raising the profile of the concert 'Arrol 1919', but the concert is a landmark event in QOS history. Two excellent bands with a great pedigree on the bill in 'our' stadium, and a lot of work gone into bring some great live entertainment to Dumfries for a change instead of us having to go to the city's. If it goes well, Queens will hopefully benefit both this time, and in the future, and who knows it may help put us on the map again.
Point taken about Friday nights game, but in all honesty it will be the usual attenders there and a few more if we are lucky. Unfortunately Live tv will have an effect on the crowd, no matter what. Anyone who is on here will almost certainly know about the game anyway regardless of whether there's a thread on about the Status Quo concert. If you don't like a programme on tv, you either switch over
