You can either hold the book and swear by almighty God or put the book down and read the flip side.

After doing a bit of digging It appears I'm unlikely to be asked to do Jury service anyway!XD

Rather than swear the oath to God, I believe that you’re required to affirm/uphold the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and that you can leave it at that.

Ed: re James McClean, having watched the video he was clearly in two minds of what to do before turning away, all be it briefly.

To my mind, while I believe he could have faced the way of his team mates and simply thought of being in another place, I am not of his mind set. I was not brought up on The Creggan in the way that he was. Ultimately it was his decision, and he will have to live with its ramifications in terms of abuse from the stands or on social media. Although he hesitated, he will have known exactly what kind of controversy he wil
