re: So, Bournemouth cheated..?
It makes me absolutely f*kin sick that the likes of Bournemouth can come from nowhere in a few years, and buy their way into the Prem with a wealthy Chairman. And then they can write off over £7.5 mill in fines as nothing, because of the despicable amounts of money that clubs get these days in the Prem.
Some of my mates who are Halifax fans were really fed up last week as they were relegated from the old Conference, and I genuinely feel sorry for these fans compared to the newcomers who have never heard of the likes of Bournemouth, until these last few years.

But the FA has to be very careful about what it does.
Football clubs are businesses trading in the UK and as such are bound by EU rules. If the FA imposes too strict controls it could be seen as a restrictive practice on the business of running the football club.
So the FA treads very carefully and imposes fines it thinks it can get away with without starting a legal battle.

Now your talking about proper fans pal
re: So, Bournemouth cheated..?
Indeed Pocket, real fans like you and me eh ;D
Ive not got a problem with southern fans in all fairness, its plastic fans who jump on the band wagon when it suits them who do my head in. I wish we could be in Bournemouth's position so yes Im envious of them, but I dont care much for how they got there and how they have blatanlty broken the rules.

Paul Douglas spoke about financial fair play pre season.
"We would like to see a system where spending controls are tighter, although we may have lost that battle, and certainly where the monitoring of those controls is tight, so that clubs can't get into trouble in the first place. And if they do get into trouble, then the people that get the clubs into difficulty are the ones who should be paying the price." - view external link
