Copa America

Lack of goals was a bit of a letdown, but still a great final, incredibly intense and "fully committed" effort from both sides. And despite what the worthless pundits said [ Alexi Lalas is even worse than Michael Owen!] I thought the referee had a decent game overall in what was always going to be a difficult game to control. He got the second Yellow wrong against Chile but the straight Red against Rojo was fully deserved, his tackle was reckless and could have seriously injured the Chile player.

All round a great tournament though, far superior to the Euro's so far.

I only give Alexi Lalas a break because he's from Michigan.

But a lot of times he just takes a side on an issue to stir up responses.

Hope the US can continue to be a part of combined Copa America in the future. Good test for us.
