Matt Godden seems to be available, worth a punt?

Not exactly prolific but in a better team, any better than say Forte?

Thats cos they were chucking around half a million asking price for him. We cant afford to pay what Stevenage want, hes out of our range, especially if we value him much lower. Then its bad business. Either way, hes meant to be off to Posh.

Probably putting two and two together to make five, but I notice Peterborough have transfer-listed former Newcastle centre-half Steven Taylor and would probably let him leave for nothing. Nolan of course knows him from Newcastle and might be tempted to ask, given his form for trusting in former acquaintances.
At 32 he's not past it for a centre-half and certainly ticks the big guy, head it, kick it, leader criteria, albeit his career has been drifting since his late twenties. You would think he could cope easily with League Two though, and he might make different wage demands to work with Nolan again than if he was going elsewhere.
Taylor would be another option similar to Brisley, I wouldn't be against it but I wouldn't mind having a centre back with a bit of pace
Strong rumours today that Notts have enquired about Kristian Dennis at Chesterfield......thoughts ?
