I don't have any particular feelings for or against Coventry, other than a genuine suspicion that the way decisions have favoured them in the play-offs is almost too bizarre to dismiss as luck. However, Coventry as a club, like Portsmouth, are/were oversized for this league and would always have been challenging for promotion next year if they hadn't won it now, so it's a positive that they are out of our way. MK Dons, Bury, Northampton and Oldham are much more in keeping with what you expect to be up against at this level, and if we get our recruitment right this summer we should be in a strong position to be contenders in the coming year.

I think it's fair to say that the current ownership situation at Notts County is much more solid than the one at Coventry. Promotion will cover over the cracks for now, but in the long run a lot of the key questions for that club remain unanswered. If Mark Robins doesn't get backed to add players during the summer, then what he will have going into next season with a team that finished 6th in League Two, so it's not impossible they might find themselves struggling again. I don't wish that upon them, or on any club for that matter, but if you take any positive or negative emotions out of it, that's an honest assessment. At present, theirs is still a house built on sand.

Meh. To me this result just means they're a forgettable club again for at least another year.

Fair play to you and Vlad for calling it. I thought Exeter would put up more of a fight and was surprised at their tactics.
