Wrong, it has everything to do with both the question mds asked in post #26 and the thread title.

I know it's hard to face up to the fact that you jumped bandwagons in a heartbeat, but it's there for all to see*.

Did Solihull register a shot on target? That was one of my criticisms of Notts under NA, not a big enough goal threat, mainly due to the slow build allowing teams to get back into shape and that was definitely the case yesterday.

The substitution he made around the 50 minute was an absolute calamity, taking of an attacking midfielder for a striker. This one changed opened up spaces in the middle of the park and Notts completely took control following the substitution. With one less player in the midfield, Roberts found a pocket of space and started off the move for the first goal. If they could have held Notts for another 10-15 minutes it would have been a a different game.

Compare this to IB who went more attacking by bringing a striker on but didn't change the structure or shape of the team to do so was impressive.

IB is light years ahead of NA when it comes to playing the type football the owners want us to and now we seem to have sorted the defensive issues out, we look a really strong and well oiled machine that should finish inside the top 3.

IB light years ahead of Ardley don,t make me laugh , Ardley,s team in the covid year is still better yet ?? whether we have sorted out defensive issues remains to be seen ,we only crumble under pressure , and there was none in this game due to rooney,s miss , who even stallard said was a big let off for notts

You keep mentioning the Rooney miss, it must have seemed a really good chance on the radio but I don't recall it being a good chance actually watching the game live.

You obviously don't watch Notts as this team is better coached than anything NA could put out. The first year in the NL was a basic 4-4-2 with 3 top quality strikers for the level banging goals in.

Ardley was blessed with an embarrassment of riches up front yet still contrived to miss out on promotion. You only look at how he has set up Solihull and read their fans complaints on social media about him being devoid of any tactical nouse and being entirely committed to playing 10 at the back to see why brothers Reedtz let him go early.

I'm pretty certain you don't get to (m)any games.

The football being served up now is many levels above what Ardley was able to coach his teams to do, especially the movement off the ball.

I don't recall Solihull having any chances that would come close to being described as 'a sitter'. Probably the best two chances of the game that weren't put away were Ruben's header, and the follow up that Vincent put over the bar.

It’s in the highlights on Notts’ Youtube. It’s half a chance, but a difficult header from a free kick that was quite a long way out. If that’s all we’re restricting any team to then we’re doing alright.

I'd like to sincerely ask you Davy, do you think that we didn't come under any pressure against Solihull, Rochdale, Grimsby, Bromley, or Stockport? Seems at least that we are currently thriving under the pressure that better teams bring.
