Defended fairly well with Helik outstanding .
Scoring a goal well you tell me .
At least we didn't lose which is the only joy watching that tripe .
How Val's got WBA third I don't know .
How he got us fifth I don't know either .
Remarkable Coach .
Hard earned point. Nowt offered offensively but some very good defending at times. Thought mads, kitching and helik (motm)were pretty solid. We kept our shape well but it was obvious Poya was all art to get a point. Nice to see the change in formation with 2 up top and Styles making the 3 in midfield but our midfield struggled to put a foot on the ball and show the composure required.
Adda tekkun a point afooar kick off so quite satisfied in end
Defensively excellent worked their socks off and a well deserved clean sheet.
MIDFIELD there lies our problem carrying too many lightweight passengers on a regular basis.
Didn’t recall one telling pass to the front men all game and not that many all season.
Styles left wingback every time for me and agree with Renno it’s time to recall Kane from Oxford who surely can secure a place in the middle.
Bring Hondermarck in with one new signing we could well look a different proposition.
I only wish we’d had this head coach in August.
That’s all I want for Christmas lol
Seasons greetings to all - Keep safe.
Well that was absolutely awful, and Im also amazed at how lucky Val seems to be with that style of football.
Their fans are really having a go at him tonight for not beating a pub side and the worst team in the league etc (in a fixture which none of them have ever seen their team win in the league & cup incidentally). :p
As for us, yes Id say it was more solid again despite giving them some chances, and creating nothing at all in midfield and up front.
We joked about it last week, that we could do with 10 Morris's on the pitch because at least he makes the effort and tracks back.
Im glad he/Poya went with the extra man in midfield and one less up front this time, but it failed miserably as Benson had possibly his worst game yet, and Gomes again wasn't much better.
I don't think we missed Woodrow at all, but its disappointing that Iseka has gone off the boil again after looking good a while back when he got 3 in 4.
Styles is WAAAAY a off the mark, defensively and offensively. Looks way out of his depth. Jordan Williams better tonight. Agree with a few others ….They don’t look a top 3 side, so after Huddersfield’s showing here as a top six side, and WBA show as a top 2 contender, I think that other than Fulham, and Bournemouth there’s a League full of cr@p. We just happen to be an the bottom of that cr@p, but we are now gaining points ( although single ones )….which has to be encouraging. No one’s mentioned the absence of Mr Woodrow……. For me, wasn’t missed, we didn’t perform any better or worse with him not there. ( and before he singles me out in his next presser….. I know what work rate he puts in…… I’m just saying we were no better, nor worse without him…..). He can go to Huddersfield for me….Mr Hoyle will probably already promised him a new Ranger.
Green shoots. And nit embarrassed
….
And Just how much has Mads improved since arriving and being pilloried in his first season.
Soz Jules, but I beat you to it lol. Didn't you see my comment about us not missing Woodrow.
We're at the half-way point of the season now, and I still think its Fulham and Bournemouth for the top 2 places. And that means the big Valbowski is going to have to push his luck again in the play offs, with his Route 1 bus that goes straight down the middle style of footy. :D
