Whilst my son has v much a soft spot for Notts he would say that his first team is Arsenal. Having been thumped away at Crystal Palace the Gooners then lost at home last Saturday to a Brighton side they were expected to beat. I hope the same fate doesn’t befall Notts tomorrow but, in my mind, sides who get promoted don’t disintegrate as Notts did v Torquay (a), Halifax (a) & Woking (h). Not to mention the comprehensive defeats at Stockport & Chesterfield. I cling to the vain hope that Notts can win their remaining games and finish 3rd to give them any chance of a successful conclusion to the season.
