Amongst those comments, a one-liner
“Lovely guy, tireless work ethic, about as lethal as a piece of dried cod”
Square peg in square hole for us then

God the spelling police is in full force.
You have obviously had more time to Google and write down his name instead off me!!
Smudge will be off on a free transfer. He won't sign a new contract the wallet busting deal won't be hard to beat.
I know what your saying Brin about been a free transfer.
But let's be honest 8 years down the line and we haven't signed anyone for 600k nevermind a million
But the recruitment team have found gems before and at 1 point we all wanted him to sign for us.,(at posh)
Mellow, apologies to all fellow Millers and yourself but I'm sick of the same rhetoric from TS season in season out....blah blah blah we've learned etc....then we sign another freebie in his 30's. To me it's all bulls.hit and I may be wrong but for me here we go again with false promises.
I'm an old hand and I've followed football all my life, probably like yourself. When a player hits 30 he's on borrowed time and I hate to say it but they don't see a full season out as their bodies are prone to injury after working so hard all their lives as top pros, especially coupled to being an International player. I wish Washington well at our club and truly hope it all works out extremely well for him, truly.
I hope I am proved totally wrong and I will hold my hands up but, we are bringing in players on freebies, and they ain't freebies for nothing.
IF it doesn't work out then don't come back and say we tried. We need to buy more younger driven players with a lot more years to offer RUFC not yesterdays man.
Go on Conor prove me wrong and I'll be the first to apologise not only to the club but the player. I know it all depends what the Smudge scenario turns out and we may be a mid table team come the end of the season.....sorry for seeing it in a negative way but like I say I'm old school and see it as I do.
For me Warney must have more sleepless nights ......who'd be a Manager?
Overall I think Washington is a good acquisition with or without a fee.
Where he fits into the management plan is yet to be seen
