O/T:- Liverpool fans at it again

As for Hillsborough I've read and looked into a lot about it. Liverpool fans were causing a crush outside due to large numbers and not enough turnstiles at that end of the ground so they opened the gate to alleviate that. If the police though had closed the central pen gate inside the ground and directed fans to the outer pens then the disaster wouldn't have happened. Very poor crowd management from the police and complete lack of organisation. As for the disgusting reports in the Sun and the heavily redacted and amended police statements absolving them of blame, they should be ashamed of themselves and held to account.

Exactly - but some people still want to believe what they read in the Sun and ignore all the other evidence and real facts that have come out in the subsequent investigations.

From what I've read and seen on the TV, this ^^^, is a fair summary of what actually happened.

A major problem yesterday was thousands of Liverpool fans with forged tickets. Hence problem with them and not the Madrid fans.

I wouldn't believe everything the French police and Uefa say to blame the Liverpool fans and absolve themselves. Whilst I'm sure there were some fake tickets I'll give you the example of Liverpool player Andy Robertson. He gave a friend one of his tickets he's allocated as a player and security told his friend his ticket was fake and wouldn't let him in. I'm pretty sure the tickets given by Uefa to the players weren't fake. As I said I'm sure there were some fakes but it's easier to blame the English. Read the reporters reports who were there, fans got there hours before, weren't allowed in, gates closed, opened then closed again with non let through. Pepper sprayed and tear gassed. Police abroad have just as bad a reputation as the supposed trouble causing scousers but as I say easier to blame the fans.

I haven’t seen anything from zUEFA or the police. I’m going off friends who are genuine LFC fans who were there and got delayed while the authorities had to deal with fans with forged tickets. It happens at every euro final they are in according to my mates.

My point is they're saying tickets are fake when they're not and I agreed they'll be some fake ones. I'm also going by reports of reporters who are there at the game so I'm sure the truth lies somewhere in between but the security and police saying we have no blame when they clearly do is wrong.

When I have been to euro finals recently I had a ticket with my name on and my passport number so that I could get in. Maybe fans had genuine tickets in someone else’s name (a player perhaps?) which would not be valid for them to use. I’m speculating here about yesterday, but I have seen that sort of thing happen first hand at other finals.
