army --I have to agree with all of that, having run a business myself for 23 years after I left the RAF. I employed 5 people, was an expert in my field and could not take one day off because the whole business revolved on my being able to go out and buy the stuff which I needed to sell. No days off, no illness and no help from anywhere else. We would not have survived the Pandemic.

You are self employed by choice army88. You pick your own hours, work long enough to earn the corn you need to survive.

You have no nincompoop earning 3 x times more than you do dictating your wage and terms of service.

Members of the RMT and bucket loads of public sector workers simply cannot survive on yet another 0% "pay rise". If this government cannot take the heat they need to get out of the kitchen.

Incidentally, which current trade union is trying to negotiate a "30% rise?"

Good lad, you weren't with Angela at Glyndebourne as well were you. I'm beginning to warm to Angela, Labour could a do a lot worse. My man at Tory HQ tells me they're far more wary of Angela than they are of Starmer.
