I didn't think Mawson was all that today personally , lucky to stay on the field and should have got a second yellow card .
Scowen was quality mind .

Mr Duff may ( or may not)…. be the best manager to land here in a while….( and there’s nowt to prove he is or isn’t yet) ….you can’t paint the Sistine chapel with a yard brush, but it looks like he’s going to get Home bargains 10 for £2.99 bristles. ……Animal was 100% right when he said the “heads went down”. The minute the first goal went in, the players walking back to the centre circle KNEW it was lost.
Styles looked vacant, Jordan W looked guilty, and connel was chuntering to himself, looking down at his boots….. it was all over.
Nothing to tempt me to spend the Petrol to Courthouse car park.
I think they’ve done a job on the season pass supporters again. They are very good at it. ….
It's not so much about the deserving Shad , it's about looking at the two games for what they were .
Bristol Rovers were as poor a side I've seen at Oakwell probably since Bradford City in the Stendel promotion season , the Cole opening goal came about due to as poor a defending situation from the Bristol CB as you'll see , Williams scored with a deflection and Benson a worldie .
The real test of our credentials came yesterday and we failed on all counts .
Poor defending for Wycombe's opener by not clearing our lines set the tone , heads dropped , responsibility passed on and we became a shambles in that second half of last season's proportions .
Whether this is the right way to judge the capabilities of this squad is in all honesty debatable but that's the way I personally go .
Stendel's side yesterday would have scored two goals in the first 20 minutes when we were on top when Wycombe were struggling to get a foothold in the game , they'd have blown them away .
Now I can compromise because clearly this squad hasn't the same quality from what Stendel enjoyed but at the same time the bar has to be set somewhere .
I'd suggest jacking it up after conceding a goal shouldn't be acceptable , a fighting narrow defeat to a good league one side I can live with .
With some better finishing we could have been 1 or 2 ahead and they surely couldn't have complained about that.
But a crucial mistake allowing them to get a shot in, and he hit it very well, gives them the lead.
Aitchison misses another big chance soon after, yet again, and we're behind at the break. I was still confident we'd turn it around in the second half, but they looked like a different team then and Duff makes a mistake in changing summat that wasn't really that bad.
All 3 goals were amazingly hit, which just adds to the freakness of the result.
Bad day at the office but 41 games still to be played.
Yeah exactly Chop, a lot still to play for and lets just try and put this one to bed. The season hasn't just fallen apart all of a sudden because of this awful second half performance.
Lets try and look forrad to a good Yorkie cup tie now at Leeds. Where despite the result, hopefully we'll see a positive reaction from the players.
Its points we need , not a cup run , hope some lazy carnt be bothered players get a kick up arse for that dross on Saturday ,
We always lose away at Ipswich and Sheff Wensdy anyway!.
So the Leeds cup tie is a one off and a chance for us to try and earn a bit of respect back again, with a better performance.
Otherwise, what was the point in us bothering to turn up and win at Middlesbrough.
