Players an embarrassment with obviously no self pride. For near all of that game they struggled to be second best. It highlights that Goodwin is just not up to the job. Really, really poor all round.

A top three finish in a minimum, says Jim … based on what, exactly? A decidedly average team, that’s made a decidedly average start and one that’s heading for a decidedly average finishing position, it would seem, based on that pathetic showing, even before the sending off! I wish he’d keep his mouth shut as there’s no reason for anyone to be getting carried away, to be frank, based on what we’ve seen so far.
A fair comment for many of them and certainly for Goodwin, but to be fair, I attach no blame to Roos - he did everything he could today.
Hayes put in another good shift - no faulting his attitude
Duk was good - ridiculous taking him off
Coulson is an excellent footballer, but he’s here cause he can’t last a full fuuckin 90 mins. He makes Scott Booth look like Iron Man.
That said:
The back 4 is too small and cant play out from the back. A bit of a problem when Goodwin insists on it. We’re gonna concede goals all season from balls into the box. Not good enough.
Midfield keeps getting outmuscled and overran. I’m beginning to think Ramadani hasnt got the legs for Scottish football. Totally ineffective again today.
Vinny a passenger yet again. Man up son or GTF.
Miovski also a passenger again. What a fuuckin miss too - jesus min. He’s been good so far tbf, but he should have gone off at HT though, not Duk.
Sad to say I’m having my doubts about Goodwin. This squad has glaring deficiencies, - only two CH’s in the squad is scandalous mismanagement - but tactics and subs are baffling at times, and we don’t seem “up for it” enough far too often.
The decision to make a sub 30 secs before HT was amateur and naive. Craig Brown was absolutely right on RED TV.
Jury’s been out a while, it’s getting close to delivering a verdict though…
Been away all day, what's the score?
Aw rat's cock!!
Who else but Aberdeen!?
Contrary to what everyone is saying on here, it wasn't either the manager or the players fault we lost today. I need to put my hands up and accept full responsibility.
With about five minutes to go until half-time, when my mate was saying we would lose the match given how we were playing I said to him no chance as under Goodwin, we have scored the first goal twelve times before today and ended up with nine wins and three draws so the worst we were getting today was a draw despite how we were playing. :blue:
Sorry guys, I should have known better than to tempt fate like that. I will try my best to not make that mistake again
Bloody ridiculous thing to do, you could have waited until half time at least.
Seriously though lads, we can't sack the manager every time we lose at Easter Road.
Early days yet, even I have come to terms with not winning the league this year.
All that diving chunt's fault according to the manager. Nothing to do with us with usual inferiority complex against mediocre opposition. While I do agree that some of the players did actually try such as Hayes, Roos and Coulson most just flatter to deceive. Ramadani, Besujin being the worst of them and pretty much our whole defence other than the above.
Goodwin could see how we were being put under increasing pressure resulting in stupid fouls, penalty and bookings and yet did the square root of f uck all. When the sh1t did hit the fan all he could do was a pant pishing ill thought out substitution that did nothing other than leave us with even less of an outlet in the second half. While there is no danger of him losing his job for a good while yet he will be losing the respect and support of an increasing number of fans if his team continue to only play well against 10 men.
We lost the game because Porteous is a C u n t, Scales sought retribution resulting in his first yellow card due to a hard tackle on one of our players further up the park, because we created FA, because Hibs were better than us even with 11 men and because we don’t have a Plan B at the back! Imagine where we’d be if we’d had The Huns the weekend after QE2 died? Goodwin is deluded.
Watched the game on Alba. Great goal from Duk, but didn't think we were looking great and Hibs looking the better team. Sending off fecked us, but thought tactically we were shyte with ten men and Hibs just overran us in the middle and were worthy winners. We had two good wins when playing against 10 mean at Pittodrie and today the shoe was on the other foot.
I do still think it is early days and wanted the first round of games out of the way before really stating opinions on players, but starting to think a few just aren't good enough or just struggle with the pace of our game. I also think JG has to wise up with tactics and most certainly has to change out some players if he has real intentions of getting us where he speaks about taking us where he thinks we should be as the bare minimum.
A real sore one.
It seems as if Goodwin knows how to play against ten men but not with ten men. The capitulation today, signaled by the immediate introduction of Polvara, told Hibs everything they needed to know about Aberdeen’s tactics. It was the same as last season’s defeat by St Mirren. Given we were not on either occasion facing Real Madrid, an attempt to attack might at least have stemmed the waves which flooded forward against us. If any forward was going off then it should have been Miovski – that was not his game today with 10 men but it could have been Duk’s.
