Trippier found him self at spurs where Pot was renowned for his hard training methods. However if you remember Trips also said that this wasn't the only thing to surprise him. He also says as a "manager" Poch was 'unbelievable', which also tells a story.

I know you guys love Dyche for what he's done here, fair play. I understand you see my negativity towards him as a bit unjust. I can't help the way I feel.

Would you have him back?

I would never ever go back to Dyche. Not in a million years. No matter what the situation. A whole cloud has lifted from the club and I am absolutely loving it.

Never go back, is not a bad rule, but he's not coming back to Burnley in the foreseeable future, if ever, so it's not really a relevant question. A cloud has certainly lifted, the cloud was the result of the previous board refusing to allow money to be spent on the team, Dyche was under the same cloud as the rest of us. Do you seriously think he enjoyed the football we were playing, that given better players he would not have played better football ? He had done previously when the players at his disposal were better and he will do so again in the future. I'm sure, given the state of his squad in the last two years, if we'd have tried to football our way to survival, we'd have been relegated by Christmas.

Makes me wonder why Trippier constantly talks about his regular "keep-up" phones calls with his "not very clever" manager. :confused:

To pick 1 player out of a squad, and one who left before things got ugly.
Any way like I say, I know I have an unpopular view. I do see where you both and probably %99 of this boards viewers are coming from. I just can't. As unpopular as it is, it's just how I feel.

Daft as it might seem now, IF he gets Everton up towards the top end of the PL, he'll be on the short-list at least. Who else is making a strong claim for the job, you might have said Lampard or Gerrard 12 months ago, where are they now ?

I suppose it's quite ironic, when we're all so pleased to see the back of lump it and hope, and the advent of proper football, that the only team that's really turned us over this season is Sheffield United, and they achieved that by a succession of long balls lumped up hopefully into our penalty area.

Dycheball in other words. Just saying like. >;)

Thing is UG he was like a hand in a glove for Burnley at the time, and without blowing smoke he did an amazing job for us , including as I say the infrastructure for our growth to date.

I completely get your stance and in truth I’m not the worlds best coach - footballer so can’t judge really - there are many on here who posted as i did when we gave games away due to shape and non changing of tactics, I said after the Brighton game we’d be relegated as they went to 5 in the middle and swept us aside from being 1-0 down, there is also the argument that Dyche just wanted British players ( which cost more and our board didn’t want to spend money anyway) so did that pigeon hole him as well and put more pressure on us with finance, reality is at the end the directors knew they were selling and didn’t want to invest any of their money in for players when they were getting out anyway.

We just got stuck in a rut at the end and Dyche was swimming against the tide - footballs moved at such a pace in 10 years - thing is I don’t think Sean moved with it.

I still think he’ll do Ok at Everton if they persist and don’t sack him in 6 months.

They have some good players there which helps.
