A hypothesis on how the hell Farrells red card was rescinded:
The all Aussie committee had a chat beforehand. They decided that having seen the last few England performances and the significant improvement in Englands play after Farrell was sent off, that it would be more of a punishment for England and their long suffering supporters to rescind the red card to allow Farrell to play in the RWC and ensure the tactic of kick and chase remains the game plan.

My thoughts exactly, ah well, back to lumping it upfield and running into a brick wall again on Saturday, I will though be doubling my bet on the Irish to win this game.

World Rugby appealing the decision, so he might still get a lengthy ban and the uncertainty means Borthwick won't select him, so my dream team will be playing in Dublin, fingers crossed it doesn't turn into a nightmare.

Whilst I am pleased Farrell won't be playing I do feel sorry for him, he's not a bad lad, he's not a dirty player, he has tried to rectify his dubious tackling technique and it's not his fault that Rugby's disciplinary system is almost as shambolic as football's. He most certainly does not deserve the pile on he's getting from blowhard journos and the Tw@tterati.

Both codes of Rugby are fast becoming a joke nowadays,tackles that once of a time nobody would even consider harsh are being scrutinised by slow motion replay over and over again until they find fault with it.. its going to become a game of touch rugby in the near future for both codes.
I'm really becoming disillusioned with Sport now.. Any contact at all and they are up in arms moaning about it.. phook VAR and phook Video replays..

Starting with Youngs and Ford in Dublin, this is a strong experienced team, it can't be far off Borthwick's WC team. If we put in another turgid display without Farrell then it's clearly Borthwick and his coaches who are leading us up a blind alley, if we suddenly look like a decent rugby team again, then it was likely Farrell who was the culprit.

Dear god, I was going to have a bet on Ireland but they're 1/8, they're just not a betting proposition. Is this how far England have fallen behind, I know as well as anyone we are poor, but 1/8 means we're a laughing stock at the top level of Rugby. I really didn't think we were this bad. :blue:
