I said I couldn’t remember. You could be right.
Tbf I only saw the second half.

Absolutely fantastic show and comeback - great credit for the early subs to contain their threat more effectively. This should have restored some belief that as good as this league is, no side is invincible. I'll have some ice cream with my slice. UTM
We always seem to have a great result before an International break. This gives 2 weeks of restful optimism that then normally resumes with a lethargic and disjointed performance a fortnight later.Like Norwich,an anomaly of a result. Anomalies won't secure Championship status.Well done to MT for changing it so early because it solidified matters instantly and the desire was never in question. It may also have saved his job which I'am pleased about because I like him and I want him to succeed. There are 35 games left and if we soon find ourselves in a position where our injury list has a rolling count of 4 instead of 8 and through this we are to establish a more settled team selection and formation I believe there will end up being 3 teams worse than us come May. This, however, means we will be still miles away from the mid table consolidation ambition the club set out during the Summer.
DM, I never realised how easy you get all defensive from a tedious quip. Anyway I do owe you an open and honest apology for misreading your previous post. You did indeed use the term Hugillball and not Hugebill. My mistake and I profusely apologise.
Hope I haven’t ruined your evening, keep on posting 😉
Really enjoyed today, not so much the first half but you have to give credit to Taylor from stopping the first half onslaught with what seemed a strange substitution.
Second half was chalk and cheese. More vigour, purpose, and a great effort from the lads.
Viktor, simply awesome 10/10 and surely will depart for better things and he’ll owe us nothing if he goes.
The excellent equaliser, simply stunning and well done to all involved. After that WE pushed more, took the game to Southampton and defended resolutely to the end to take home what may well be a very well earned point.
I wasn't there today and questioned the sanity of those were after recent performances. I'm chuffed to bits for those who made the journey today.
I think most of us expected a battering today and those who didn't were surely only saying it out of blind optimism. Their goal within two minutes didn't change my mind.
Credit therefore goes to Matt Taylor for the brave tactical change in the first half. Listening on the radio it sounded like the always magnificent Viktor has kept us in the game and Hugill has pulled out a moment of magic. He's been criticised lately, and rightly so in my opinion, but credit where it's due today. We've ridden our luck but who cares, we're due a bit. It sounded like some players were dead on their feet at the end and if the effort is like that, we can't ask any more. Hopefully this is a turning point.
Big shout out to Matt Taylor for his imaginative substitutions today that got us a point that probably none of us expected before kick off.
Also he may have seen something in the performances of one or two of the substitutes that will give him more confidence in starting them in the future.
Hopefully the squad will take a lot of encouragement from today's result and come out with all guns blazing after the international break. UTM.
Should be 3 or 4 down by half time
Matty Taylor deserves credit for subbing and changing formation.
It blocked southampton a bit once he did.
Quality goal by hugill.
Secound half was better not as much one way traffic.
Mom viktor kept us in it and kept the score down.
We are gonna need 5 or 10 million to replace him.
Was the music in the ground to loud or am u getting old
There fans been singing all game once we scored didn't hear a song out off them and started to leave early.
Freddie was taken off for tactical reasons, not because of his performance. You may have known that though
One of quite a few tweaks MT made to keep us in the game
Absolute tactical master class from MT once he knew we were still in it. Soton defenders had been coasting all match and when all the changes were made they didn’t know how to deal with it , made mistakes and shat themselves for the last 15 mins
With a bit of luck and guile we could have sneaked it
Big shout out the the travelling fans, fantastic vocal following
Very sad to hear MT intimate in post match interviews that he feared the worse today in terms of his future. Perhaps it might help if some people laid off him and backed him and the team instead like 1100 of us did today. It’s cost us a small fortune but worth every penny
