2) Yes Conway did have a contract for four years. It doesn't mean he couldn't be "sacked"at any time if he wasn't doing his job ie making money. It was Conway who pitched to the New York finance market to establish a Group which could take advantage of low valued European clubs to buy and sell and get involved in player trading. Hedge Funds jumped on board thinking there was money to be made. That's why I wondered why Parekh got on board with this Consortium.
3) Cryne and Parekh may not have liked what Conway was doing but they just stood aside and watched it roll out. They got lucky because Conway was so incompetent and the Investor Group binned him. Only then did they come out and say what a bad boy he was.
