Disagree totally.
It’s exactly the time and space. Let’s all wait till the next one or the next one then.
Yes it’s emotional reactions why wouldn’t it be?
Time to stop burying head in the sand and ensure action is taken.
It’s no more disrespectful than saying or doing **** all.
The alleged attacker is a minor and we might never be told his name or learn of his nationality or ethnicity. Identification can only be granted by the judge at the end of the trial. Speculation is pointless because it could easily be wrong.
May I ask who the journalist is and where this was written?
As I said earlier to Stansmate, it's important to be clear about what terrorism is. By definition, in a developed, stable country it's not likely you will see hundreds of people who align to the de facto religion, a major political party, etc wanting to commit terrorist acts. With over 4 million adherents of Islam in the UK, only Christians and atheists outnumber them, and neither of those groups have any widely acknowledged groups radicalising them. It's logical with funding from Hezbollah, Hamas, ISIL who will be targeted for radicalisation, much as it was obvious in previous decades when those entities had less interest in our foreign policy and other groups did, that those numbers would stack up quickly with Catholics. As much as I don't think that 5 million Catholics were a concern in the 1970s and 80s, I don't think 4 million Muslims are of particular concern now - just the miniscule number who are getting snared by terrorist groups abroad.
I don't want more Vincent Fullers, Darren Osbornes, Thomas Mairs to make that number seem less skewed, I would prefer the context to be seen with it. Likewise, I wouldn't want white men in their late 40s and early 50s being seen as a problem because of people like them.
Two things can be true at the same time, and I don't think it's unreasonable to say these are relatively isolated incidents and that it's unacceptable that they happen.
But it's known where he lives, his parents background known and he's got an elder brother.
I'm sure the neighbours have worked out who he is
Going to be hard to keep it swept under the carpet and his identity kept anonymous
The usual apologists are going to be excited
Three little girls have had their lives taken away in a flash. Authorities have the attacker in custody. That's beyond doubt. The families of the victims and the poor children and adults still in hospital should be given as much support as possible.
Whoever that attacker is, should be executed as soon as the investigation is finished. I don't care what colour he is, I don't care where his parents are from, I certainly don't care what age he is, I don't care if the law says he should have anonyminity. I don't care if he has mental heath issues or if a lawyer should defend him. I'm not even interested if he was off his tits on something.
If that makes me no better than him, do you know what. That's fine .....
Just eradicate the sh!t.
Thing that gets me is this mental health thing it’s being used as a line of defence for the guilty as sin to get off on a lesser charge I feel sorry for the people who have got genuine mental health problems but this scumbag hasn’t he knew what he was doing like howdy says execution asap
He will be a target inside and deserves whats comin his way
17 or not hes an evil bxxxxxxd and needs to be sorted
