I have been really pleased with the clubs recruitment over the last couple of seasons however this one less so he has appeared only 26 times since his departure in August 2022 hardly a ringing endorsement for recruitment purposes injury prone ? We already have enough of these ready to hit the ground running ? extremely doubtful we definitely could have done better. Happy to be proved wrong and I will give every player in a Crewe shirt my full support as always even Bogle who was truly dreadful on Tuesday he looked like he had never played.

We'll have to wait and see. I imagine that he will be on the bench tomorrow. Nobody wants him to succeed more than me, but unbelievable reading X, virtually everybody on there raving about him as our complete answer. Rewind twelve months Charlie Kirk getting the same treatment.

There is no doubt that TL is a good player and far better than CK who benefitted from those around him making him look better than he was. Don't get me wrong, he was part of a very good team. But Lowery os a different prospect and is highly unlikely to be standing around waving his arms around. Much more likely to set up a chance for one of our very good forwards. I am wondering which of our 35 centre halves will be benched to fit him in

Yes I wasn't trying to say that Kirk and Lowery were similar players and characters, just that quite a lot of people see him as the messiah just as they did last year with Kirk. As I said let's wait and see. I hope that he smashes it.

For me, he is undoubtedly a good player and just the player the team needs. However, it will only work if the team plays the right way with him. No point having a midfield dynamo if he spends most of the time seeing the ball go way over his head and out for a goal kick. He needs either Powell or Sanders picking up the ball from the defence and finding him further forward where he will make space and find a forward or an opportunity to shoot himself.
Then again, none of this can happen if Lee Bell doesn't play him!

What is happening with Lee Bell? Today's team seems totally unbalanced! Again fiddling with the formation to keep on good terms with certain players.

Why is Conway RWB? Why is Williams LWB? We cannot get down the left side as Williams does not seem comfortable on the ball?
Tracy and Long up front are the weakest combination as they can't make the ball stick. This would be less of a problem if we had a midfield.
Things are not changing for the better.

Well, again no midfield!, Tom, on the bench? Play him!. Chris L., I would have had him down for 1 of the chances.....Harrogate deserves the lead, 20th in the league?, again look better than that.

It had better improve in the 2nd half. I reckon if we're serious about automatic promotion then we need 6 points from today and next Saturday.
It seems a very strange way to set up, have to put it down to the manager if this doesn't go well.

2nd half was better. Powell and Lowery should start next game. Not Williams.
One horrifying moment for me was a few minutes before the end Demetriou from 35 yards from the Harrogate goal with 9 Alex players in front of him brought the ball down, turned and hit a 70 yard pass back to Marshall. WHY???
