I havn"t a clue why they are here and I have asked the same question since the day they rocked up, they have no connection to us , to our area or our culture , I still do not know what they are trying to achieve but I do know this they certainly have a very limited knowledge of running a football club and the longer they are here the more damage they will inflict .
Well the 1st ones gone, Disco has by mutual agreement!
It's what's needed Perky , a total clear out , I take the point Disco has been a loyal servant but that in itself tells a story because nobody higher up the football food chain ever wanted him , same with Hassell .
Looks like Hourihane is getting rid of the dead wood , plenty of it .
A new broom sweeps clean .
I totally agree mate, gonna be interesting over the summer!
In retail the store managers get moved about fairly regularly. Under the extremely successful family ownership, Sainsburys managers were moved around shops very frequently. Store managers very often. Even successful ones got given poor shops to manage, not always bigger stores
This was done as a way of not allowing an ?its becoming wallpaper? effect to take hold?.walking past problems/poor standards/hygiene/practices because they became ?normal wallpaper?
What was almost certain was that when good managers were moved to poor shops, they always dragged at least one of their old undermanagers with them..(even if it took a few months)?. These shops, usually got turned round.
Now I am not saying folk should be sacked, but Its been ?as you are? in the first team dugout for two seasons now, and longer with Disco.
The ?Wallpaper? effect had set in. Hopefully he will bring in his own men
That said
Perhaps we are now seeing (as it appears with Jalo and a few others) green shoots from the youth coaching set up, so maybe not a ful sweep of the warehouse??
I?ve been saying it for months now that this summer is going to be very busy and interesting for us. At least we do have a coach in very early this time so hopefully he gets right involved in all these contract discussions.
Humprhys - stay if we are going to play him left wing. Leave if we play him as a central striker.
McCarthy - leave.
Pines - leave. Seems like a genuinely nice person but he?s not improved in his time here. If anything, he?s got worse.
Flavell - stay.
Lewis - leave. I?d have liked to have seen more of him but clearly Hourihane disagrees.
Benson - leave. Maybe against the grain here but I really like Benson and feel like if we could just get him fit, he?d be a brilliant player for us. However, I?m not sure that?s likely.
I wouldn?t sign any of the loan players.
I assume there will be bids for DKD, Phillips, Connell and Russell. I?d like to think we won?t sell all 4 though.
We need to sign a number 1 keeper. Preferably not on loan. Some full backs for both sides if we are playing 4 at the back. 2 central strikers. Then replacements for whoever leaves. I would assume Shepherd will return from his loan and be involved. Not sure about the others out on loan but I?m sure we will take a look at them in pre season.
I think Jalo, Shepherd and Yoganathan will get a lot more game time next season.
Jalo gets better the more he plays, Shepherd and Yoganathan have been getting rave reviews at Bradford and Oldham.
