I'm not for one minute suggesting Saunders was a great coach/manager. What I did see sitting close to the action is that he was the one providing the instructions and demanding of the players. I do believe him to be the substance on the relationship. As I've said on previous threads we employed a man /men who have done nothing in the game,won nothing in the game and the chances of that being successful are very slim. But, it is not coincidence that things have gone south since he left. The players know they are left with a man with limited ability experience and belief.

Everyone starts by not winning anything though don’t they ?

Also you can appoint a manager who has promotions and turn out to be a disaster look at John Sheridan here.

It’s about being in the right place at the right time and most importantly how good is your squad, I see too much BS about tactically naive, no plan b etc but what does that even mean as no fan can ever articulate that into word.

I’m not saying Maynard is the man it’s not up to me to decide that but if he goes it could be much better but it could also be much worse too it’s a real role of the dice situation as we are likely to go down the off the radar appointment again I’d imagine.

And of course that team selection and tactical approach is guaranteed progression to the final. If it doesn?t work then obviously any substitutions would be early pro active and would instantly turn the games momentum as we celebrate another trip to Wembley. Easy job done.

I actually have coaching badges and I'm not an armchair supporter. I'll tell you what doesn't work. Doing exactly the same thing that didn't work last week!!
