So if McInnes gets sacked for us playing dire football and the next manager comes in and we are still dire to watch does that mean he will have to get sacked as well?

Calderwood got sacked for exactly the same thing McInnes got a contract extension for.

There was plenty of opportunities to sack Calderwood after a cup defeat. I would’ve went for Queens Park myself.
He was sacked after scraping into Europe. It came as a bit of a shock to him. McInnes got a 3 year deal for doing exactly the same thing
Calderwood got a 3 year deal a few months before the Queen of the South semi final.
The following season he got us knocked out of the cup by Dunfermline, I think that sealed his fate.
It does show you though that Milne isn’t a trigger happy chairman considering Calderwood survived so many cup exits to lower league sides.
Patterson never even got sacked when he was too hungover to show up for a game,it’s why McInnes is no where near being fired,Milne has set the bar very low.
We shouldn't be in the position where McInnes gets the sack. He should of been in the position where a decent job down south came up and he moved on. Perfect scenario.
