Talking about starting words, I managed the rare feat of a starting word that got me absolutely nothing across all four quadrants of Quordle today. Still solved it in 7 though. Being a glutton for punishment I also used the same word on the Quordle Sequence puzzle and scored nada again. I still solved that one in 6. In fact on that one I had 1y after two guesses and then succeeded in getting the 4 words in my next 4 guesses.Quote:

That's more like it pup, and I think you've got me mistaken for one of my all time heroes also, who scored that last minute winner against the blades in 81, but ironically I remember TonyTowners equaliser in that game more as we were struggling and the relief when we levelled was euphoric. Lot's of 'plucking' from nowhere suggests that it possibly was a lot easier than the word itself would suggest.
