I have utter contempt for the UN mon ami, this is the same UN that recently invited Iran to chair their Human Rights Forum, and you take them seriously ? Really ? Last month the UN General Assembly voted on a motion to condemn the Hamas attack of October 7th and demand the release of the hostages. The motion was voted down, and the decision was greeted with applause. And you take this dysfunctional organisation seriously, up to you mon ami. if I didn't laugh at them I'd have to cry.
The United Nations ? Feck off.
Having served with the IDF and on the Golan Heights you can see these UN soldiers , looking 'spick and span', on duty in/at some sentry box, in the middle of nowhere, again it can be in winter, foggy ,poor visibility, cold etc. Guarding who knows what? but hey! someone has to do it (have they??)
I remember leading some U N tanker lorry, over the Golan Heights. I was in an Army jeep, plus a driver and this guy on communications equipment. Ok, we had to lead this tanker over the heights to some U N base. Again it was winter, cold and foggy! I told our driver to keep his eye in the mirror on the UN lorry. Don't drive too fast! The roads are very narrow up there, after 2- miles he said ,''The lorry ,its not there!!'' I asked our driver, what do you mean? Stop, wait! Again he said, ''its not there''. I told him to go back lets see where they are? Go back!
What had happened the tanker had run over a pool, (a hole caused by the winters harsh conditions). As the wheel had entered the hole, the fuel had rushed forwards ,lifting the tankers rear end. ( the one rear wheel was up in the air !!) When I spoke to the UN driver he said to me ''this is my blackest day!'' I think it must have taken, the UN to send help, about 2 hours to come to get him out of this mess. Just part of the days entertainment!
Hey guys personally I think it's the biggest fraud on earth but at least the message on a ceasefire is 100% OKAY with me.
Too many people are needlessly being slaughtered and I would love to see the Israeli hostages back home and all of the kids held in Israeli military prisons released and reunited with what's left of their families.
I will never forgive nor forget Clinton and the UN's reaction and inaction to almost one million souls being butchered with machetes while the UN "soldiers" looked on.
Is this the same Rwanda these Tory imbeciles want to send other innocent people to?
.....a ceasefire is nothing but to re-build /re-stock on weapons what you have lost, yes, Israel. but also the terrorists. Hezbollah and Hamas!
BT adds, (Too many people are needlessly being slaughtered!) Do you think it will stop? Even Hamas and Hezbollah train their kids to use weapons.
What is the aim or goal of Hezbullah? Ideology and goals? Look at its '' 1985 manifesto.''
''In its 1985 manifesto, Hezbollah professed its goals were to destroy Israel and expel Western influences from Lebanon and the wider Middle East. In 1992, Hezbollah transitioned from acting solely as a militant group fighting against Israel to an established political party in Lebanon.
Hezbollah's primary enemy is Israel, and to a large extent its military strength is based on the rockets they use to attack that country. The group's strategy against Israel uses rockets as offensive weaponry combined with light infantry and anti-armour units to defend their firing positions in southern Lebanon.
What next western influence in the direction of - Europe? Just wake up and smell the coffee??
Are the UN soldiers a fighting force?
B T: I will never forgive nor forget Clinton and the UN's reaction and inaction to almost one million souls being butchered.
Are the UN soldiers a fighting force? ? ? (may use force ?? Do you think a U N soldier from Nigeria, etc. Will risk his life in Lebanon?? Just because of some U N Mandate? ) Would anybody reading this, risk their life say in Lebanon? (Military. The UN does not have its own military force !!)
B T While I was serving in Lebanon, I heard terrorists attacked a U N jeep, taking all their weapons!
Non-use of force except in self-defence and defence of the mandate. UN peacekeeping operations are not an enforcement tool. However, they
may use force (?) at the tactical level, with the authorization of the Security Council, if acting in self-defence and defence of the mandate.
Why don't they appeal for Hamas to release the hostages, lay down their arms and surrender, I'm sure a safe passage could be arranged for them to any of the numerous states that support and finance them.
There you are mon ami, no need for the UN or Hate Marches, job done, war over, no more dead babies and the rebuilding of Gaza can begin. But Hamas wouldn't accept my peace plan would they, so the killing goes on, down to the terrorist scum really, they started it, they could stop it tomorrow, but they won't will they.
Best chance they've got mon ami, keep fighting and they're all dead anyway. A safe passage could be guaranteed and overseen by the US and UN. It's a non-starter anyway, Hamas don't mind how many dead babies there are and none of the countries that call them friends and support them would touch them with a barge pole, Egypt in particular wouldn't let a one of them into their country, they've enough on their plate with the Muslim Brotherhood, they don't want any more Islamist nut jobs roaming free round the Pyramids or the back streets of Cairo.
I have been unable to perform a headcount of Hamas "operatives" for obvious reasons but it's estimated there are around 30,000 located in Gaza.
Every picture I have ever seen of them only shows fully masked Hamas militants.
What happens if they just jump into their jimjams and under the cover of darkness they pop out of the tunnels at say 200 a day?
How would the IDF know if it's a wanted Hamas militant or not?
Over 2000,000 people are still living on the Strip, would another 30,000 make much difference?
Just asking for a friend. ;D
