I agree. Definitely a risk in that he has little to no experience, but if you're going to go for an inexperienced and risky coach anyway, he'd be an exciting and interesting choice.
You can't deny his pedigree. He was a fantastic footballer who offered something pretty unique for an English midfielder at that time. Plus, he was managed by one of the greats in Arsene Wenger. He'd certainly command respect based on that alone, in a way that Maynard never could. Great contacts in the game too.
If he were to do well, he'd be off to join a bigger club pretty fast I'd imagine. But that's the nature of the business.
