Depends if the manager is willing to admit earlier than usual that a signing hasn’t/doesn’t look like being successful. Forrester looks low in confidence and not the type that adapting to new comes too easy with a bashful demeanour. Christie would walk straight in and suspect eager to reproduce form in his preferred central 10 role with an unflinching willingness to be fed the ball. Forrester looks like he’s shying away from that.

Mulumbu has responded positively to Hibs fans on Twitter. Neither he or Christie would be deemed to be essential acquisitions given we have weaker players in their roles. Would be pretty galling to see either or both being signed by Hibs as both would significantly enhance our starting eleven and pretty sure we’d make a tidy profit on Christie in a couple of years when he gets the call from Engerland.

I don’t really understand Dons fans at times, pretty much every club in world football use the loan market be it 4th tier in Scotland to Champions League finalists. Its a chance to get quality players in that we wouldnt normally get. Just be happy we are getting good quality players in.

I've no issues with loan players, particularly if they are coming from someone like Man United. It's loaning players from Celtic that does my chebs in.

Is he quality though? I don't have a clue. He is off the back of a serious injury and not very prolific

I hope whoever said its our benefit he is needing a gig somewhere at the end of the season as he might give his all and be very good is correct. That better be the case

He was a couple seasons ago before the injury, ive not seen much of him since. If he can get back to that level he will be brilliant. It could turn out bad but he is on his last chance with United so will have to put in the effort here to give himself a chance down there or even get a move to a decent club.

Also Aldo i agree with you about loaning from Tims, wouldnt bother me if he could play against them though

They say Maynard was good once.

Christie or Allan on a permanent deal would put us in a good place. They are the types of player we need, someone who is willing and able to receive the ball and make things happen in the final third. At the moment we're having to go wide all the time - we've got the quality out there, but it will become a little bit predictable and the better teams will find a way to stop the supply to McGinn and GMS.

I'm unsure whether Christie will want to come back for a third time though - get the feeling he might fancy trying his luck in the Championship down south.

Football's much more short term these days anyway though. Every year we bring guys in on permanent deals and cut our losses after a year when they don't work out... Maynard, Stockley, Tansey etc.

If it's a loan from the EPL we're probably getting a level of player we couldn't otherwise afford and who will be able to play in all of our games, so I've no issue with that. I'm against loaning players from our own league as they can't play against their parent club and it disrupts the team having them in and out of the side as a result of that.

Regarding the injury, he's been over that for over a year.
Apparently returned to the U-23's and was the leagues top scorer before going out on loan again.

Hopefully we can forget about that injury as it wont affect him.
