Depends if the manager is willing to admit earlier than usual that a signing hasn’t/doesn’t look like being successful. Forrester looks low in confidence and not the type that adapting to new comes too easy with a bashful demeanour. Christie would walk straight in and suspect eager to reproduce form in his preferred central 10 role with an unflinching willingness to be fed the ball. Forrester looks like he’s shying away from that.
Mulumbu has responded positively to Hibs fans on Twitter. Neither he or Christie would be deemed to be essential acquisitions given we have weaker players in their roles. Would be pretty galling to see either or both being signed by Hibs as both would significantly enhance our starting eleven and pretty sure we’d make a tidy profit on Christie in a couple of years when he gets the call from Engerland.
