Oh dear !
so you buy the Reform Rhetoric. The solutions you would employ are illegal under international law. We would invoke a world wide trading ban on us and bankrupt the nation ....!xxx
Over 1,000 came over here in one day our infrastructure cannot cope or sustain that. It's not racist to want this stopped its common sense. The government has to do something to make coming here less attractive no matter how unpalatable it will be to some. Both Tory and Labour have vowed to stop the boats without any success. It used to be places like Syria, Iran and African nationals in the main coming over but now the Vietnamese are in the majority.
Israel are breaking international law every day, they do alright and as I said, Australia nipped it in the bud pdq.
Btw, Cyprus where I live, asylum seekers are kept in camps, they can come and go but they get dormitory accommodation. Once they claim asylum, they are allowed to work but, at less than the minimum wage which is contentious on a couple of levels in itself.
So how many illegal immigrants have you taken in then Pedro....oh none, thought so!
Name me another country that allows people to arrivie with no money, passports or any information whatsoever and are taken in given money, food, 4* hotels, Playstations, driving lessons, jumping the queue with the NHS to name just a few benefits they all get!!!!!
A month returning them back to the safe country of France and they'll soon stop paying the gangs running the boat trips and we're quite within our rights to do that.
This is the problem. The small in number, but mostly vociferous of those in society, have made it a crime to question (not even speak out) things like unregulated immigration. They then shame or ruin those people by calling them childish names like racist or bigot.
It first sprung up during Covid, where those that questioned mandated vaccination were labelled as anti-vaxxers and it was used with great effect.
They're welcome to try, and then be put in camps, but you notice that despite it's much closer procimity to Muslim countries and with the same Island status as the UK, the UK is the preferred destination and we all know why. We have mainly Nigerians and Congolese right now but I can tell you one thing, the Cypriot people would not put up with the crap that the UK voting public does.
A tangent for which I apologise but yesterday, all I could get was this
