As I say...it’s one thing to use an assumed name as a pop star - Elton John is always going to attract more interest than Reg Dwight who sounds more like a fishmonger - or as a pseudonym for a writer, but I don’t think it’s common amongst other ‘public figures’.
Indeed, other than the examples offered I suspect criminals are the group most likely to use assumed names...which kind of figures in Tommy Yaxleyson’s case.
He’s also, I believe, been known as Paul Harris, Wayne King (seems appropriate) and was once prevented from flying to the U.S. under the name Andrew McMaster.
Not worth defending Andy...love Ross Taylor out. ;D
