No we are not Man City where the rest of the team can carry a newbie but, we are in a relatively safe league position to give the likes of Bailey- King a run. Taylor’s becoming the new Frecks with not much option to replace so give the lad a run. Thing is, has Warne got the balls to try him?
I've no issue with Warne trying Bailey-king or any other youngster, it's about we had a regular first teamer who's come through the Youth system. The issue I've got is gwru acting like he knows for certain Bailey-King is the messiah and that only his amazing talent spotting eyes have seen it, when really, he's seen him play for 10 minutes once and took a guess. Just like he spotted Jerry Yates and now wants rid of him.Quote:

Last Saturday Warney cost us that game. Cummings has never been fit but plays him. Frecks isn't fit. He's got Wiles on the bench but as you say hasn't got the b*lls to play him. He brings Forde on, all he does is take corners. Warney wants his players to be good boys so he let's Dom Ball go & we're left with Ajayi whose lost it & this Manny whose like the invisible man. Williams is the only winger we've got good enough but Bailey-King is nowhere to be seen. People on here knock Vaulks. Keep saying this we haven't got players good enough to sit behind him that's why you won't see the best of him here. But I don't know anything.
I never saw Yates, it was all hearsay. Now I've seen him can tell he's not good enough. I've seen Bailey-King. Would say only Williams is good enough on the wing to keep him out. Forde, Taylor & Newell aren't. But Warney will keep playing the same players cause he's scared to try anything different.

TS has also said "Premier League in 5 years and we shop at Harrods" so I guess it depends whether you believe him or not.
Personally I don't think he'll have the patience to wait for the development of our own young players if the team isn't challenging at the right end of the table.

That's my point, you posted on every thread for ages that Yates should play based on nothing but hearsay, you've seen Bailey King once for about 10 minutes right? You cannot make a sensible judgement on that alone. You haven't a clue if he's any good or not, none of us do. To say only Williams is good enough on the wing to keep him out is madness, you have NOTHING to back that statement up with. That is why I and other people question you so much, it's nothing to do with what your opinions are, everyone is entitled to them, it's the fact that you never have anything to justify them with. Saying 'I know my Rotherham players' isn't justification, it's arrogance. The stats always contradict everything you ever say.Quote:

The thing what bothers me is not are they good enough because let’s face it baily king Jerry Yates and all the other youngsters we have given a contract too are not getting a chance to show they are good enough. Jerry Yates has played 17 mins in league 1 and scored 1 goal while Jamie Proctor has played 132 mins and scored 1 goal. Like it or not if you go on stats alone he’s our second best striker.

I for one would like to see him play same amount of time as proctor.
Yates has great footwork and a huge potential but needs to develop his calves like Bobby Charlton to be complete. However if you take his age into account he is way better than proctor and Jono when they were that age. If we are not going for promotion this year we should be giving these young ones some experience with real football
