I'm quietly confident about every game just now, but anything can happen so not getting carried away, game at a time and all but we don't play them until the just before Christmas, halfway point.... We don't need to beat them then to get automatic promotion, it went define the season, I'd be surprised if they are less than 3 pts behind us by then tbh, again, if they are fair play.

Bang on, good post, and to add what they are also forgetting is there is zero pressure on Ayr, from their fans or at games, it's easy to play for Ayr in comparison, it's one of many comfort zone clubs in the country in this league some above in the prem for a lot of players that can't hack it at clubs like Utd with the expectation

I agree with Shedka that we are lucky to have Robbie.
But I do believe fans are entitled to raise questions about poor performances in the past without being labelled knicker wetters, muppets or being told to STFU or F Off, all things that he has said to fans on here that he wouldn't dare to say to the poster at a match.
Discussing tactics performance and selection, and finding fault on occasions doesn't make those fans disloyal as Shedka would have us believe. The idea that you have to blindly say how brilliant Robbie is and how fantastic everything is, that's just crazy, and it's also crazy to say that fans who question performance are looking for something to moan about. I don't think they are.

Robbie is a relatively young manager and is still learning. Yes he will make mistakes but we're seeing fewer poor performances statistically and more better ones. The players obviously want to play for him.

We're in a great position, made a great start, just need to kick on.

That's quite fair. It's also worth stating that some folk do find fault any almost anything. It's unrealistic to think we can play every match like yesterday. Christ, even Man City got beat the other week.

Some people will always find fault in something, it's glass half empty syndrome. In saying, that people pointing out obvious faults within the team can actually be healthy. I'm sure on a Monday Robbie re-runs the previous match pointing out faults and they all discuss how to get around them. I would also like to think that someone at Tannadice reads all the forums to get a different perspective on things, these are opinions of folk that pay and go to the games. There are always going to be the few nutters on any forum and the end up free entertainment for all but as long as it isn't offensive I quite like reading what others of a different opinion to myself have to say.

In saying that, apart from a couple of blips, it has been a better start to the season than i ever could have expected.

Who will win this league? I'm not sure. Check the odds at the bookies, they are seldom wrong. :)

What a mess of a post stoke, someone called me a dick who had nothing to do with the discussion so it was out of the blue, I told them to f off, well merited

Knicker wetter has been used many times not just by me and it sums up perfectly some of our fans reactions both at games and on forums (toys out the pram) especially before a game we ended up winning wasn't finished... The mind boggles at what they expect and why they seem to revel in negativity, it was fair to call it out and the team and manager proved us right yesterday, balumbie was able to at least respond when done of his points had been disproven, jfallup on other hand couldn't and never made one decent point to back up why he was so miserable about things given the positivity and upward trajectory of the club

I've said all along criticism is fine and questioning selections but there old always be a balance and credit in return that wasn't the reaction after last week despite the very good start

That's my last post in this nonsense

Why are you having a pop at me? I started this thread acknowledging the positive attacking approach yesterday, and regardless of the result last week, I had every right to criticise the totally opposite approach, for most of that game, which was on the back of a similar approach at Ayr. Just because you (and perhaps others) disagree gives you no right to have a pop at other posters who are simply expressing their opinion, which is what these forums are for, and for the record many other posters agreed with my opinion.
