I think that is what is commonly referred to as 'going all in'.

What about the Jocks, Taffs and Yanks?
Firstly, totally unacceptable....at least 2 bottles (plastic?) thrown from watching the Facebook vid.
Feel sorry for the decent Yeovil fans who are being dragged down by a dozen? mouthy tough guys.
From reading the first 30 comments on Yeo Glover, nobody at the game is sure that this was racism or that they heard any racist comments (the comment was apparently "come on then big man.......actual quote here Ben Biss All I could hear was "come on big man" from a yeovil fan")
The reason I am trying to make us stop and think before labelling this as racist, is because I don´t want matches abandoned or replayed every time a black player thinks he heard something.......on an added note, if anyone spat at the black goalie, he needs to go straight to jail, dirty *******!
I think what Serious is trying to explain, is that certain words, to a certain generation, are not offensive......I have personally never used the word "ni$$er", but have often heard Arabs referred to as "sand ni$$ers" especially amongst ex-servicemen that served in Aden or the Suez crisis.
Go online and listen to blacks talking to other blacks, especially comedians, it´s always "ni$$er this" and "ni$$er that", so I guess it is the context that counts as to whether it is racism? not sure of the law.
In Glasgow, it is common word usage to say "I´m popping down the "P**i" off-license for a carry-out....it´s not meant as offensive as most of their "Asian immigrants" are more integrated than those in England......again it´s the context.
Boris has been slagged off by the left-wing press for using the term "letter-boxes" for Muslim women and one of the Royal family was criticised for using the term bongo-bongo land....a month or so ago, the Canadian PM for blacking his face while at a fancy-dress gig was rounded upon by the press.
Where does it all end?
Grow up Jeremy. Two of my oldest cricketing friends answer to nothing but their nicknames. Malcolm (Taffy) Jones and Anthony (Jock) Miller are even referred to these names by their wives. Sport especially is full of nicknames, Is David Lloyd offended by his universal nickname of 'Bumble' for example? There is a huge difference between an acceptable nickname and an abusive one and I don't think any of those I mentioned were abusive except the 'N' word which I never use.
This video shows general abuse (all pretty unpleasant), but I understand the alleged racist comments happened when Coby Rowe picked the ball out of the net. From this video that would suggest someone behind the goal (i.e. out of shot). Apparently a video has been handed to the police by Haringey's chairman that does show it, and I've seen at least 2 Yeovil fans comment on their FB page that they heard it as well. Also, Coby Rowe heard it. It may be that most of the fans - even the ones kicking off in the video - are not racist, but I've been to dozens of Haringey matches and never seen fans acting like that before so they need to hang their heads whatever the outcome of investigations.
