I'm not much of a world traveler. In fact, my extent of language is based on what I see in books (the old days) and now the web. I do play football in a Sunday beer league and have learned all kinds of "provocative words" in Spanish, Russian, Polish, German, Portuguese, Latvian and several dialects of Middle east extraction. If he said what was in one of the articles then man up and admit it and take your lumps. Not excusing just saying that it was heated battle between them at times in the game and just admit you lost your temper and learn from it.
However, I have no faith or trust in the FA and if find it very odd that several Leeds players and one ex player said they did not hear it. Team support is one thing but with the severity of FA punishments I'd be surprised that no one would not turn him in if he said it.
Mrs. O. Your story on Sampson does not apply. he does play or is involved with Leeds. Therefore a different set of standards applies to him rather than if he was Leeds.
I think it's ironic that they tried to do maximum damage to us with the timing of the ban. It just might backfire as Meslier might have a breakout spell with us and end up in the running for our Keep next year. I think Kasper was about the same age when he broke in with us and he's done quite well for himself.
PFA believe the change in the standard players' contract will highlight how seriously the PFA views racism, and remove any ambiguity about the possible consequences for anyone found guilty of the offence. Racist abuse will now be deemed as gross misconduct and, although the decision of whether to terminate a contract will ultimately rest with the player's employers, the PFA pointed out that any club failing to act "could be held responsible for condoning [racism]".
Tough calls ... and problems

a scary road when no one but the "accuser" and one of his buddies heard anything. with modern microphones, 4 officials and players on your own term not one person heard this.
Needless to say, if you have no ethics or morals you can accuse anyone of saying anything and they are guilty until proven innocent. who's the real racist in that case? I seem to recall that this is not the first accusation from this player.
I do understand that here stateside you are innocent until proven guilty and it's not that way in much of the world but it's a scary precedent. Almost banana republic in it's application.
So basically its down to the 'probability' that he said something racist but what about the 'probability' that the Charlton player was telling fibs?
Aye, and another word the (spits) fa/fl like to pick and choose where and when it suits them ... “alleged”
Guilty as charged allegedly, probably.....but really not sure, perhaps, maybe.
........and probably we are LUFC lets throw a extra couple more game bans in, just because we can, allegedly.
If you read the judgement in full it well reasoned and makes sense. Some of the things Kiko and Leeds said early on in interviews etc did seem at odds with statements from other players.
As the burden of proof was balance of probabilities not an unreasonable conclusion for the panel to come to imho.
The words used were deemed to make the abuse aggravated and hence the punishment.
The panel did find Kiko is not racist but having become angry after the exchanges at the corner used the form of words alleged by the Charlton players.
Jonathan Leko, Charlton player who made the allegations tore his ACL before Christmas. Out for rest of season. Maybe into next season as well. Back at his parent club, WBA. So Leeds wont see him in the last match of season. Pity.
