No I dont, and if you were as smart as you think you are, you wouldnt either. You think the meedja are there to inform, provide factual information, provide their viewers/listeners/readership with accurate reporting of fact? I'm sure your life experience would suggest otherwise, so wtf do you think they are doing now? Leopards dont change their spots.
Do your own research, Google may not be ideal but if you use objective, peer-reviewed research papers (John Hopkins is one source, ONS in the UK is another, European Centre for Disease Prevention & Control, Centres for Disease Control &Prevention in the US, Australian institute of Health & Welfare as examokes), mostly outside of government influence, staffed by REAL scientists not those trying to make a meedja career for themselves, and set what they tell you against what the meedja would have you believe.
That "examokes", should have been "examples" bloody phone!
If you cba to look up the primary sources there a lot of medics who put stuff on YouTube and cite their sources.
one bloke Dr John Campbell is quite decent and he looks at all the new theories/data/evidence.
there are also a few A&E doctors from the USA who do the same but explain what they do when people are admitted to hospital.
The BMJ, the lancet, imperial college, Oxford university, the Robert Koch Institute (no relation to our CB) are good sources in addition to those WTF mentioned. The WHO has some good stuff but treat with more caution.
"Was"......... going to give wide berth on this spat but two points for consideration.
Medical opinion(s) (and family wise I've endured quite a few) and on top of all of that there's the matter of how the doctors get paid. Some want to recommend particular treatments or tests as much to ensure an income for themselves as to actually fix you. We of course all hope that such people are few and far between, but they do exist and you may or may not have met a few of them in your time.Moving through their 'hierarchy ranks' (in my experience) the amount of opinion data spiel that is thrusted at you leaves one wondering how the hell any conclusions are ever formed.Facts are 9 out of 10 folks ask for a second Medical opinion on serious matters, from personal experience I've asked nearer 5 involving one family matter involving Medical expert opinion from 3 countries - all differing diagnosis regarding medication may I add too and don't get me going on the Pharmaceutical companies part in matters !
Came off my bike a while back, lost 1 tooth so a crown required on next tooth to support a replacement and bloody expensive quote so I go to my old UK dentist who says I also need this and that too doing. So I get a 3rd quote saying Bollux to prior 2 opinions and he'll replace knocked out tooth via an implant - chose the implant, let him take my before and after photo for his brochure (for a discount) and it's great - job done in lockdown conditions too.
My take on UK Covid 19 tier system.
That strategy risks falling apart now because neither Mr. Johnson’s narrow group of advisers nor the ministers he appointed for their loyalty are the people best qualified to handle the grave perils ahead and yes, from afar, the handling of the U.K. economy,Covid 19,the job support scheme,Brexit prove such points,IMO and what alternative opinion of merit is forthcoming from other political parties must be a worry for vulnerable folks back home in Blighty -
Well,that's my take folks.

Ok so i should listen to people like the ones saying the global warming is bs rather than what i see in the media ok and from now ill start reading conspiracy theorists so i can be dummer for it wise recommendations fmd.
And WTF i aint smart if i was i would not be in here arguing with you and others lol
Hey Mrs O
I think a few on here are just saying read as much of the source material from as many places as possible.
In terms of the UK I think the position has been shambolic since the Dominic Cummings debacle. At that point the Government lost a lot of goodwill and the arguments became more polarised.
They seemed less keen to message for fear of attack and there was a sense in August that hurrah we’ve cracked this and vaccines will be just around the corner which was possibly never realistic.
The countries which seem to be ‘doing better’ seem to have stuck to sensible public health measures throughout, have a more compliant population and generally locked down all but essential international travel.
The UK position now seems too reactive as opposed to planned and too polarised. I think a lot of the dissent is because the strategy has not been explained very well or in any great details - businesses and people who face ruin deserve a better explanation rather than the bland we are following the science.
As I have said earlier it is a great but sad example of how our political systems are increasingly ill equipped to deal with significant challenges as they are immersed in tabloid style politics rather than a more detailed analysis and nuanced approach.
Hey ho
My daughter now lives in Liverpool, Works in a care home and also goes to uni, She has just yesterday tested positive for Covid, she has been very ill for 3 days now, i am going out of my mind she is fecking 24, So an answer to many of questions on here this virus is very real, listen to the advice, the problem is that people are not doing or are ignorant to it,
Not sure where in any of my posts you got the idea I was suggesting you "listen to ones saying global warming is bs", quite the opposite. Find facts by doing your own research and come to conclusions using your own grey matter instead of having them spoon fed by organisations that have little or no interest in the truth, and much more in their own aggrandisment or selling advertising space. The media has, and always will, put a spin on everything it covers, and if all you do is accept what they say (right-wing, left-wing any f00king wing), then you are letting them do your thinking for you.
