Well done to the Danes as they really hammer Wales, and become the first team to reach the Qtr finals. Wales can have no excuses really about this performance and result.

Italy really made hard work of this extra time win, and they were rather lucky not to have been taken to penalties at least. This is their first test, and Austria might be kicking themselves at not making more of it.

CZECH REPUBLIC 2-0 HOLLAND
The first real upset of the tournament here as the impressive Dutch team go out, so much for them winning all of their group games eh!. The sending off was a big turning point but credit to the Czech's, who won it and deserved it.

Wow what a match, and while it was a shame to see Croatia go out after their comeback from 3-1 down, credit has to go to Spain. That's two games in a row now where Spain have scored five goals!.

Another shock here as Sweden blow it against the lesser fancied Ukranian's. The sending off didn't help, but credit of course to the Ukraine team for snatching it late on with just 10-men.

ENGLAND 2-0 GERMANY
Wow, we've finally done it and have taken a certain monkey off our backs here lol.
We have finally beat Germany when it really matters, in a knock-out tournament game, rather than in a friendly or a tournament group match etc. It looked like a really disappointing defensive set up originally by Gareth to be honest, but the result sticks up for it, and to be honest is wasn't a defensive performance actually.
Well done lads, we're into the Quarter finals, away in Italy/Rome of all places lol.

Another big team to go out here, and it was credit again to Italy for largely keeping out Belgium's main threats. Some fans were suggesting Italy still hadn't been tested yet at this point, but they had a tricky half of the draw and had still come through mostly untested.
