There has been a lot of disruption. I haven’t been out yet but am hoping it is all minor. I’m fine and thanks for asking Dubs.

Well the tree did split and fortunately fell the other way.

In comparison to the rest of the country I think that Leicestershire got off quite well. Mind you, we often seem to miss the worst extremes of the weather; must be due to our geographical position. I did lose two fence panels though but only to be expected with the high winds. Hope everybody stayed safe and that any damage wasn't too serious.
Good to hear........most everything else is replaceable....climate change is bringing huge force into small local areas....
Twenty minutes drive from me and near 50mm of rain fell and yet in our area...maybe 10mm.
This is why it is more dangerous.....even with the rain yesterday/this morning....we still look on course for one of the warmest winters on record...and at the moment on the east coast of Ireland....also looking like one of the driest on record as well.....
Well, that the most scariest storm that I have seen since 1987. Winds reaching over 80 mph on the front. Luckily for me, the only damage we incurred was the loss of a dozen panes in the greenhouse and the guttering ripped off the garage. A lot of my neighbours weren't so lucky with tiles ripped off roofs like confetti. It's nice to live by the seaside but occasionally it does have it's drawbacks!
Wash your mouth out with soap Albionic, we are a sophisticated resort unlike the places like Margit!
