Maidstone v Wrecsam

We've got the longest unbeaten league run in the top 5 divisions right now. We've had a small hiccup with a couple of draws but for people to be almost handing Wrexham the title because they've scored late winners is just wrong. Notts tend to do it the other way around, get the goals first and try and see the game out. There have been maybe three games this season where clubs have managed to frustrate us.

I'd rather be getting the goals early and have the game in the bag in the first 80 minutes rather than needing to rely on a winner in the last 10 minutes.

Notts have scored the first goal 21 out of 27 games - 78%
Wrexham have scored first 17 out of 26 games - 65%

Total minutes Notts have been trailing so far this season - 5mins - 6%
Total minutes Wrexham have been trailing so far this season - 14mins - 16%

Wrexham won't run away with the title.

Good point about Notts getting the goals early, though it’s those tight games (Boreham Wood x2, Southend, Oldham, Bromley, Yeovil) where a late goal would have been massive for us - and what Wrexham have managed to do with annoying regularity.

Not sure I understand the stat about total minutes trailing, though, especially for Wrexham - after all, they were trailing us for at least 75 minutes in October. And we were trailing Boreham Wood by more than 5 minute earlier this month, no?

Thanks for clearing that up. If you take the Gateshead and Chesterfield games out of the equation when we were still finding our feet under the new system, that stat is even more remarkable.
