I will give you my take on Cowley…

He is one of those managers who are on a downward trajectory. He and his brother have been sacked a few times in the last couple of years so in my opinion I wouldn’t entertain that type of manager. Yes, managers get sacked and i have no problem with appointing someone who has lost their job at another club but I don’t think we should employ managers who are constantly losing jobs at other clubs through getting sacked for having suffered bad results.

I would look for someone who has done relatively well as a manager and has moved to other clubs and has a history of doing good things at those clubs…not a problem if they have got one wrong somewhere but please don’t employ someone who has been sacked numerous times.

This next decision by the FMB has to be spot on…some of the names listed by the press are a joke. Cormack himself is losing a lot of trust with the fans already after 2 disastrous appointments, Stewart Milne should have absolutely no input whatsoever and as for Steven Gunn…this is the type of person at Aberdeen FC that has a major role at the club but sums our club up…not a proper fit for the job. Willie Garner is liked by Cormack and Dave likes listening to him so that’s why he has that role as part of the FMB. I personally think Cormack should either buyout Stewart Milne completely and put people on the board who really want a change at Aberdeen or he himself would be better stepping down and see if offers come in for his own shares.

The vast majority of managers who are out of work have been sacked, I can’t see us paying anyone compensation again so soon after this shambles with Goodwin.

It saddens me to say this but we really are a joke club at the moment and will do well to attract someone half decent until the end of the season. I just don’t know who would want to come to us at the moment except your usual suspects.

Maybe people are putting 2 and 2 together but they are saying it was Cowely who accepted the Portsmouth job at the time.

There’s probably a good chance he might be in contention for the job but at the end of the day he just got sacked from Portsmouth because he went on a 2 month winless run.

Cowley got sacked at Portsmouth, but their fans were still pretty positive about him.

This is still an attractive job, as long as Gunn goes imo.

Anyone coming in knows the bar is set on the floor & it’ll be impossible not to look like an improvement. This time though, I’d make a slight adjustment to the rigorous prawcess. I’d invite applications, interview them & try and pick the best one

Who would you appoint?

How about we just go for Kjetil Knutsen and tell him we have a similar name for our team to Bodo/Glimt….we can say we are known as Bloody/Gimp as we have taken a right good few sore rogerings recently

So Barry Robson assisted by Steve Bruce's ex assistant Steve Agnew for the foreseeable.

At least he has brought in some experience, though never heard of him.

Hopefully this is just a temporary fix and not being planned to be until the end of the season.

I’ve met Robson a few times and he doesn’t seem to be the brightest of guys,don’t think he has it in him to be a manager.

Cormack needs to get the new manager in by the end of next month,gives him time to assess who he needs to get rid of before next season.

Which at the moment seems like most of the players.

Seen Agnew play for Sunderland years ago he was a decent player plenty of experience. Good luck to them and hopefully they can do a job save us the ordeal Jack Dross or Martindale would serve up
