I don't think that I've used the word chagrin in my life and i had to do a quick check that it was what I thought it meant
She sounded like a very insecure and possessive person, nothing good will come out of being her boyfriend and at least you had the courage to walk away although I suppose that it wasn't as easy as that, after reading your post I'm glad that I live on my own tbh
Nearly everyone you will talk to loves the film Rita, Sue And Bob Too.
In reality though in the film Bob is a serial Pa edophile, a married man who preyed on young underage girls.
That old bloke walking about on the balcony shouting things was class.
An old boss of mine was telling me once that when Bob drops off one of the girls and the Asian guy gives her a slap in one of those old houses, they knocked them all down and built new ones and that is where she now lives, just on the outskirts of Bradford I believe.
It is a great film though isn't it.
Fantastic acting from George Costigan who plays Bob, how he can play the part of being a pae do and come away from it from looking like a loveable rogue deserved a BAFTA.
I read that when he went to the premiere his wife was sat one side of him and his mother on the other and it was one of the most uncomfortable incidents that he could recall.
When he asked his mam what she thought of the film she said "I thought that it was really good, although I wont be recommending it to anybody".
I've just finished watching Harold and Maude and it's a great movie although a lot of people disagree,it's got a bit of a cult following now after bombing back in '71 but I like the fact the love can break age barriers and what a soundtrack by Cat Stevens
Yeah I want to watch that, only discovered it recently as I seen a photo of it and thought that it was Gretchen Franklin.
Probably deserves its own thread of 'Strangest Pairings Of Stars In Movies' but I seen this properly weird film that I still can't decide if I like or not but it had Marlon Brando alongside Thora Hird, made me think of when John Wayne dumped Tony Robinson into the Thames in some movie that was also an odd pairing.
If you've got Sky Cinema you can press the blue button and ask for it and it will come up,it's certainly different and who doesn't like an E Type hearse
I once saw a film where Miriam Margoyles was kicking the sh1t out of Arnold Schwarzenegger which was a bit out of the ordinary
