I would guess mon ami, that some lurker has spotted the use of one particular carelessly used adjective to describe Mr Crooks and has dobbed you in. That the Constabulary, or at least certain members of it, takes this sort of thing seriously I do not doubt. Perhaps you should ask for one of those leaflets the Met hand out to Hate Marchers in London, explaining what they can and cannot say, that might be helpful.

I can only apologise directly to Mr Crooks for comparing him to a Dutch BBQ oven mon ami and ask him in the politest terms possible not to mention to the Editor of a Burnley Football Club forum "It's only Burnley" and such like.

BT, just tell them that you have Tourettes, ADHD, OCD, ACDC or anything else they pepper us all with these days and that this has affected your mental health so much that you are thinking of self harming. What a bloody country we live in now. Fecked doesn't even come anywhere near it.

Two bobbies in full regalia, mobile phones on display, full arresting kit resplendent, 8 am on a very boracic morning , ringing the door bell, I honestly thought someone had died.

If I was a Dutch Barbeque oven mon ami, I would be affronted, I would expect more sense from said BBQ Oven on matters relating to football than I would from our good friend Mr Crooks.

It really is scary Alfie, many years ago I read 1984 and thought, nah, it's fiction, not real life, couldn't happen my lifetime, then I watched the repression in East Germany, Mao's China, the USSR and dismissed them as authoritarian, Lefty regimes, nothing to do with me, nothing to do with good old Blighty, an Englishman's home is his castle and all that.
