Very quiet thread. I presume folk are just in a state of shock we actually won a game 😮. Anyway, to the point of my post...who thinks Duk's assist was a fluffed attempt to dink it past the keeper (as was the consensus on Sportscene) and who thinks it was an unselfish and brilliant set up for Clarkson? I watched it several times over and I thought it was the latter. Jesus, the stick he'd have got for not burying it or doing a Miovski with a carefully executed finish in the bottom corner...if that was an attempted chip.
I still can’t quite get over the transformation between halves yesterday. Why can’t we just start like that? Bring that next Sunday and we stand a decent chance.
Presumably part of that is Clarkson being a wee bit further forward? Was great to see him making passes that panicked the jambos.
Duk looks up and sees Clarkson before he hits it. If he is trying to score it’s not clear to me how - the way he hits it suggests a pass. But then right after he strikes it he seems to thrown up his hands in horror. So who knows.
Shankland did get booked - for foul and abusive language by the look of it.
I sit in the SS and had a good view of the winner and sure Duk made the cross to Clarkson.
Just happy we got that deserved winner and enjoyed the great bounce after it.
If we play like we did in the second half then I think we have a great chance next Sunday as they have a few injuries, a suspension, a tough game on Thursday followed by travelling back from Southern Spain.
If we play like we did in the first half however.....
Always love beating the Diet Huns - everytime I think about playing them I remember McGinn's goal when he ragdolled that defender and smashed it in the top corner
Some great performances - in the 2nd half! Not sure what is going on in that dressing room but something is off if performances are this erratic, you never know which Aberdeen will turn up at the moment
But well done Robson, got his big calls right and very pleased for Duk - you could see nothing was really coming off for him but came up with the magic when needed
Jensen was very good, read the game well and made some excellent interceptions. Clarkson came on to a game and Devlin was his usual 7/10
