No surprise that clubs would be looking at Macca but have to assume that the Millwall deal, if true, is the best on offer, or that no-one else was interested. Either way, that's the market and the market sets the value not opinions. No pressure to sell but as any canny investor knows, values can go down as well as up and always best to take a decent profit when you can. Good move for the lad given his age. As someone else noted, if we create the chances we have players who can convert them.

Can we get the title changed to “potentially” until it’s confirmed by either club.

Plus we don't know what level of wonga Millwall have been waving. If I had been offered (whispered) at least double my salary, and my current employer got sniffy then I'd love for it not to affect my commitment, but I think it probably would. Add to that, that I can work until I'm 67 doing what I do, but Macca can't.

The replacement will be difficult to find, and I'm not sure we have him on the books, although Jatta has the look of a player, but we might need to change our style. Not sure Scott, although I rate him, could fit without a more significant change in approach,

I’ll believe it when I see it on a reliable source of information. Anyone can post any s***e on the web and it seems lots of people are prepared to believe it. He may well be off but until it’s on our official site then it’s just a rumour.

If it is true, pressure is on the owners to replace him quickly, because selling your star striker and not replacing him doesn’t scream ambition or promotion to me.

I’m not saying that will happen, but it could be indicative of the season to come.

When a poster we’ve hardly heard of posts & then doesn’t follow up with anything it’s usually a wind up, and tbh this Millwall thing has been there for 2 weeks or so now.

You have to assume we've already got our eye on spending most of the cash before our targets are lost as it's strange to let him go this early if you're not under pressure to sell and the player isn't making a fuss. As above, possibly there isn't any other serious interest, unless the add ons kick in quickly (can't see them selling him at enough of a profit to mean much to us).

If we're reinvesting then I'd rather we sell earlier than usual so we don't just end up losing the likes of Ruben for nothing. FFP is also a consideration.
