Yeah that's key to Stuart Maynard's future. We played really well against Grimsby and if we maintain that standard consistently then people will start equating Maynard with Luke Williams, but so far in Maynard's Notts career, it's been difficult to tell which team is going to turn up. If he doesn't crack that problem then he won't win fans over properly and his time will be limited.
Long way to go in this game yet, though. Good opportunity to show we have got the resilience to overcome an early setback.
The stream hasn't been great but was pretty much worth the £10 just for that Didzy goal. The main camera was right behind it!
And another ex Notts player scores! Wooton equaliser at Mansfield
Goals going in all over from ex Notts players , Zak Brunt got 2 for Barnet now
Bloomin hell ..! That old man only good for 30 mins !!?
Yes, that was a problem last season. I understand why we took the opportunity to sign a player of his quality who wanted to come and had just torn up League One, but Macauley Langstaff was already occupying his best position. Luke tried to shoehorn both players into the team, but they weren't really a fluent partnership. It was more of an either/or situation..
JJ found a bit of zip, and it seemed to lift the whole team. We're very good when we play quickly, but as others have said we need to be more consistent. Our left side is starting to gel.
