I have to disagree Jules, Dike was an impact player, he could change a game with his power and ability to score goals whilst Pines role is to become a defensive rock , to compare the players and their impact on the team is like comparing chalk and cheese , the issues around Pines are brought about by the physical side of the EFL and his list of injuries suggest he has a problem, overcome these problems and I feel we have a very decent defender at this level who also can be a big asset in the offensive form, he scores goals from set pieces and is a real handful for the opponents to mark thus creating opportunities for others in and around the box in set plays , I think patience is the key a bit like Anderson when he came to us, he had a very poor first season but went on to become a fine defender who since ended up playing in the premier league , lets hope the same happens with Pines.
