I’d like to think the new DOF & backroom structure has knowledge of signing the type of player we are after, the stage before their big money move, for example (from Transfermarkt):
Sven Botman - Ajax to Lille - €8M
Bruno - Athletico PR to Lyon - €20M
Marc Guéhi - Chelsea to Crystal Palace - €23.34M
Bryan Mbeumo - Troyes to Brentford - €6.5M
Anyway, they are just a few examples of relative bargains associated with us who made their clubs big profits. I know we did exactly that with Minteh (€8M to €35M), and it doesn’t always work out, but with PSR, we will need to be a bit more savvy in the short term.
