She is no worse or better than most of the male presenters, but that after all is a purely subjective opinion. But it's good to know you can make a judgement on alleged "tokenism" based on no evidence whatsoever! Classic example for a white male being offended because somebody is different to them. By all means say she is isn't good enough, the rest just reveals you have certain prejudices.
We're off the subject of who SHOULD be MOTD main man, and the popular vote appears to be Mark Chapman by a country mile. Not sure how true the thing is about him not wanting a co-presenter or how much it would hurt him if he indeed said that, but in general terms I agree with him
I suppose it could be argued it would keep the tradition going. Middle aged, white, probably hetero***ual and male. Funny how no one mentions that when box ticking crops up.
Imo it just doesn’t matter. Mark Chapman is, imo, very good and better, again just imo, than AS, but we’re re talking about a sports presenter and personal opinion. I simply don’t care what gender or colour he/she is. I knew nothing of AS’s alleged s*xual preferences before last night and again, why does it matter?
No one (but you it appears) mention it because the best about in the footy sphere just happen to be white middle aged heteros. Not the case in other sports, Ronnie McIntosh for example in boxing, Isa Guha in cricket. And Im not going to expand on the now widely discussed issue of box ticking throughout broadcast media as I will trigger people
