RIP. He Got notts playing some of the best football I've ever seen down the lane !!!..😥
You may well be right it's come to mind now you mention it. Perhaps others can confirm.
Here are the goals that day. Some crackers from Notts and I love it where the commentator says Notts were playing like AC Milan. If just those brief clips of what it was like under Mick Walker then I can see why people say it was the best football under him.

Can remember when Mick was manager when a few who stood near me would moan about the type of football we played...Needless to say the arguments would start between the then younger me and the old sods, who obviously in their minds knew what they were talking about...RIP Mick and thanks....
Rip Mick Walker.
I only started going in 1992 so I only saw the final months of Warnock so Mick Walker was the first real manager I saw and he was a nice man I spoke to him a few times. He was also the bloke who urged us to take the Anglo Italian Cup seriously.
Unfortunately about the time I had other things going on and lost interest in Notts. An interview with him sounding a bit like Cloughie (and the one comment seems as if he's upset someone). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAaVKJIDDQY
Will never forget that Tranmere game. How the same players could put in a performance like that after looking so devoid of anything under Warnock in his last games in charge, dire infact. A man ahead of the times in the game, on how it should be played.
Was anyone able to attend Mick Walker?s funeral today?
Notts posted this pic of former players:
