Under this manager, we arguably would be. He?s not managed higher than 6th with McGoldrick and Abbott (plus the leagues top scorer, best keeper and a very strong defence) in the weakest League Two in living memory.

I haven?t listed to all but I have listened to the majority of his interviews and I have not heard him use the injuries as an excuse. Quite the opposite in fact when invited by the hard nosed journalist asking the difficult questions.
One thing I do know is the amount of injuries and some of the lengths have been way above the norm and certainly haven?t helped his chances of success. When was the last time we had so many?
Only 12,000 predicted tonight, pretty much sums up how people are feeling about this one. Significantly
less than the last game of the season. Didn't we sell out Vs Coventry?
You need to factor in Coventry were given that stand and sold 4.5k too.
Its also a factor it was changed at very short notice plus you might have quite a few going boxing too.
A few might be put off for sure but there is a few things not helping like the "reds" not filling the stands up now they've all managed to find their ground again 🤣🤣
'Only' 12K at 8.00pm on a Saturday night at short notice for a match that's available on TV is pretty good I'd say. Not to mention the boxing at the Arena also being on. In addition, it's the first leg. If this was the second leg, at home, and Notts had a good chance of going through there'd be more.
I find it hard, if not impossible, to be disappointed by ANY five-figure crowd at Meadow Lane after the dark decades we've come through during my time as a Notts fan.
I'm not sure about that Swale. This is the final home game and the biggest match of the season in which we have a chance of making Wembley. We are currently on course for 3000 less in the ground than the penultimate game. I accept that Wimbledon will not bring as many as Cov or Donny, but still, that is a little disappointing. What was our gate in the playoffs when we were in the National League?
I've never seen a fan base so flat heading in to the playoffs (Although maybe Walsall have something to say about that!)
Fair point about the dark days though.
*Just checked and we got 16,500 at Meadow lane against Boreham Wood. Just sayin.
Head-scratching stuff I know, but at least they're being consistent. Many on here were clear when autos were fading that they didn't 'want Notts to get to the play-offs' so all of that group will already be pissed off that they made it.
And there are all of those that wanted SM sacked at the end of game 43, 44 or 46 or whatever it was, they are very upset too.
If Notts actually do get promoted, NCM in the months of April/May is going to make some very entertaining summer reading.
