Look at the end of the day and they are trying to hype a transfer between Everton and Newcastle because all the exciting ones didn't happen. The good ol' Harry Redknapp hanging out his car door days are gone unfortunately.
Problem is, players with little interest in staying often don't play their best. Teams full of players on one year deals just don't seem to do well. We do need to get these things tied down much earlier than we do albeit that we've had the league yo yo to contend with in the last few years which will have made it a lot harder.
