A weekend away, a few beers in two or three different towns. I won’t commit £700 for two of us for a season to go to sterile, “fan patronising” home games, with total disregard for the comfort, and enjoyment of fans once they’ve paid their season pass. This will not be for us next year. . Nor will we be buying shirts, etc.
Not while these owners are here. £700 is very hard earned. And to spend that, there has to be some return, in terms of entertainment value. I can’t justify that again.
Last year we invested in the team, club and players. Paid for season tickets, supported the club. According to Dane……The owner’s were proud of how we kept the club going. They persist in trying experiment, after experiment with managers that wont work in the championship.
We expected that this year we’d “kick on” yet they take us back down the “snakes and ladders” to square one.
Preston “plucked” a geezer from league one to kick their season off…….. We got a clone of Morais, and Schlopp
Then again, thinking about it……. Maybe we won’t even go away.
Away matches were a good craic, tickets were hard to come by in League one, and we valued getting one….. Then we went up to the Championship the atmosphere changed….. Threatening, intimidation, and a culture of “if you don’t like us standing up/ pushing/smoking weed/smoking in toilets/falling over your seat, calling you c…ts, and throwing beer over you with other general unsocial behaviour then “.F..k off”
So we have.
Last time we were relegated, we went home and away…every game. All season. Can’t say we will this time.
Everything from the teams performance, to the road closure’s, walks around half the town to get to the ground, closed slip roads getting to the ground amd poor fan experience in the ground s pointing me towards NOT BOTHERING AGAIN.
And, that’s without not even STARTING about the way we playing.
